Electrochemical Detection of Paracetamol and Iohexol Using a Boron-Doped Diamond Anode Modified with Gold Particles

Persistent organic pollutants such as pharmaceuticals (iohexol and paracetamol) released into the environment is an environmental problem. Thus our objective to propose effective less expensive method for determination of their concentrations in environment. In this work detection quantification were performed using cyclic voltammetry differential pulse (DPV). The anode used a boron-doped diamond electrode (BDD) modified with gold particles (Au-BDD). characterization Au-BDD surface by scanning electron microscopy coupled energy dispersive spectroscopy electrochemical (cyclic voltammetry) showed presence uniformly distributed on surface. DPV allowed obtain two calibration curves iohexol paracetamol ranging respectively from 4 µM 67.42 0.8 22.943 µM. limits are 1.13 0.045 paracetamol. These results show that improved detected ionic it was noted interference phenomenon very negligible during these pharmaceuticals. This shows can be determine PCM IHX highly charged media.
